The new Stadthotel Giengen
Since May 2021, we have been offering our guests accommodation that can provide them with a home away from home. Our offer is reasonably priced and provides practical services and offers to make your stay pleasant and comfortable.
Our first accommodation, the Boardinghouse Schellenberg, received consistently good ratings from numerous guests with an average score of 8.6 points. With the Stadthotel Donauwörth, we have been offering our guests an extended range of services since 2018. We have incorporated all this experience into the remodelling here at the Stadthotel Giengen.
In a bright, modern ambience, we offer you comfortable, spacious rooms with practical extras. We offer a friendly all-round service and additional facilities such as 24-hour check-in, a bicycle garage, bicycle racks, communal rooms, a laundry room and the option of receiving your own mail at the hotel.
You can expect 30 modern rooms that meet the needs of business travellers. We also see ourselves as a perfect address for families. We offer a baby cot, spacious family rooms and a playground in the garden. We also welcome hikers and cyclists, who are very welcome to take advantage of the wide range of offers.
Stadthotel Giengen - a modern hotel with a past
The hotel complex was built in 1963 and known as the Gawron. In 1990, a couple of restaurateurs acquired the building, renovated it extensively and ran the hotel very successfully as the Salzburger Hof. The business was sold in November 2020 and taken over by the Lebedew family of hoteliers. After a lengthy renovation break, the traditional hotel has now reopened as a business and family hotel under the new management in May 2021.
The thorough renovation of the interior and exterior has created a bright, modern ambience. All rooms are inviting, comfortable and equipped with the latest IT technology. This means that our guests have fast, stable and free Internet everywhere. They will find new locking and security technology, a boarding machine with 24-hour contactless check-in, the option of express check-out and personalised service. The motto is: modern, efficient and future-orientated.
The aim is to offer every guest an all-round pleasant stay of the highest quality at a fair price.
The situation
The accommodation is located in a quiet residential area in the centre of Giengen and offers travellers peace and quiet, numerous shopping facilities and a wide range of leisure activities. Sufficient parking spaces, a bicycle garage and bicycle racks are available directly at the house.
Giengen is located directly on the A7 motorway with its own junction, the main railway station is 500 metres from the hotel and can also be easily reached on foot.
There are countless well-signposted cycle paths for cyclists, the Albtäler cycle path, the Brenz tour and the Danube Valley cycle path lead directly through Giengen.
Giengen is also a popular destination for hikers. The award-winning Albschäferweg trail starts and ends in the town centre, and the Jacobsweg Nuremberg-Konstanz trail also runs through the town centre.
Families appreciate the numerous leisure activities in the immediate vicinity. The Steiff Museum is within walking distance, while HöhlenErlebnis Welt, Archaeopark and Günzburg LEGOLAND are just a few kilometres away.
